Marquetry and pietra dura restoration in London

Marquetry builds pictures and patterns from thin sheets of veneer. Pietra dura does the same with cut hardstones and coloured marble. Both are fragile, and loss and lifting are common on old pieces.

We repair, re-lay and replace missing marquetry veneer and stone inlay, matching the wood or stone to the original so the design reads as a whole again. Tabletops, cabinets, boxes and panels are all part of our work.
